What is 100Cr6 Steel equivalent to?
Date: 2023-04-03 Hits:
100Cr6 steel is an internationally recognized designation for a high-carbon chromium bearing steel. It is equivalent to several other designations of similar chemical composition and mechanical properties, including:
AISI 52100 steel: This is the American Iron and Steel Institute's designation for 100Cr6 steel.
JIS SUJ2 steel: This is the Japanese Industrial Standards' designation for 100Cr6 steel.
GB/T 18254 GCr15 steel: This is the Chinese standard designation for 100Cr6 steel.
All of these designations refer to essentially the same material, with a composition of approximately 1% carbon, 1.5% chromium, and small amounts of other alloying elements. They are commonly used in the manufacture of bearings, ball bearings, and roller bearings, and have excellent hardness, wear resistance, and fatigue strength, making them ideal for these applications.
